Pink Momma of the Year Video Contest

Contest Information

The Austin Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure is doing a video contest to find the Pink Momma of the Year.

To enter:

  • Visit www.youtube.com/komenaustin and watch our Pink Momma promo video on YouTube.
  • Create your video about why your favorite breast cancer survivor mom should be Pink Momma of the Year by following the listed requirements below and upload it as a response to our instructional video on YouTube.
  • Email Taylor Wesley at Eintern@komenaustin.org and give her your name, email address, phone number and title of your video.
  • Make sure you submit your video as a response to ours. Videos not submitted as a response will not be eligible to win.
  • Deadline to upload video response and email Eintern@komenaustin.org is May 1, 2012.
  • Deadline to vote through comments is May 1, 2012.

Video requirements:

  1. Video must be 60 seconds or less in length.
  2. Avoid profane language, violence, sex or personal attacks on people or organizations.
  3. Avoid violating copyright laws or using brand names or logos other than Susan G. Komen for the Cure’s in your video. You agree to indemnify the Austin Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure for any claim, demand, judgment, or other allegation arising from your possible violation of someone's trademark, copyright, or other legally protected interest in any way in your video. All contest submitters agree not to make any commercial use of those portions of their submissions which use Susan G. Komen for the Cure trademarks without prior written approval from the Austin Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
  4. Your video may not contain any endorsement, solicitation, commercial, or similar content advocating for or against candidates for office, political issues, or commercial products.
  5. Your video must be original content for this contest. Do not submit a video that has been submitted elsewhere.
  6. Videos must be QuickTime/MOV, WMV, MPEG or AVI and submitted as a response to our video on YouTube.
  7. Make sure the video is no larger than 50 MB.
  8. You must provide the Austin Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure with release forms for every person in your video if requested.
  9. Be able to provide GSA with an original video file if you win.
  10. Videos that are submitted without emailing Eintern@komenaustin.org your contact information will not be judged.

By entering the contest, you grant the Austin Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure a perpetual, royalty-free license to use your video, in any media, for standard contest and other non-commercial purposes. You grant the Austin Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure permission to edit, modify, format, or adapt your video for the Austin Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure’s purposes at the Austin Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure’s sole discretion. Except for the gift basket prize awarded to the winner of the video contest, no other compensation in any manner will be paid to any entrant of the video contest for the submission to the Austin Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure or the Austin Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure's future use of the video in any manner. If you want to remove your video from the competition, you may do so by requesting the Austin Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure delete your video from its competition prior to the announcement of the top 3 finalists on or about May 11, 2012.

To be eligible you must be a citizen of Bastrop, Caldwell, Hays, Travis or Williamson counties. Children 13 years or younger must have their parents approval. Employees of the Austin Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure, their relatives, and Austin Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure contractors are not eligible to enter the contest.

Winner Selection

Videos will be judged to see if they comply with the requirements of the contest and those videos that do not comply will be disqualified. All qualifying videos will be considered open for voting and the video with the most “Comments” of support will win, so encourage your friends and family to vote. The top 3 finalists will be announced on or about May 11, 2012 and the winner will be announced at the Mother/Daughter Bubbles and Brobes brunch on May 12, 2012. Privacy

The personal information you submit along with the video will only be used for qualification,  notice of winning or if there is a question or issue regarding your video or its content. We will not disclose, give, sell, or transfer any personal information about you, unless required for law enforcement or by statute. As your video will be made available to the public, you should not include personal information about yourself or anyone else. The Austin Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure is using YouTube to host the videos for this contest. You are subject to YouTube's use, privacy, cookie, and security provisions also. Those provisions can be viewed at http://www.youtube.com/t/privacy_at_youtube.
