Funding Priorities
A minimum of 25 percent of the net income from each domestic Affiliate Race supports the national Komen for the Cure Grant Program, which funds groundbreaking breast cancer research, meritorious awards and educational and scientific conferences around the world.
Up to 75% of funds we raise (after operating costs) will stay in Bastrop, Caldwell, Hays, Travis, and Williamson counties. We gave more than $1.139 million in grants in fiscal year 2011-2012.
Community Profile and Executive Summary
The Community Profile is a thorough evaluation of breast health services in our five counties in order to identify gaps. The information is then used to determine priorities.
