Team Contests

The 2013 Susan G. Komen® Austin Race for the Cure® is all about TEAMS! Our Race teams can change history—the history of breast cancer—by helping the Komen Austin Affiliate Race for the Cure reach record-breaking levels of Race participation and fundraising. A team is a group of 2 or more participants who join together for the Race season to have fun and raise funds to empower the breast cancer movement.

Team Contests

Team contests help drive the friendly competition that makes each year better than the last! Numbers for the winners are calculated for registrations and confirmed donations received by a specific date. Team members may continue to register and raise funds up until November 30th. However, any registrations or funds collected after the cut-off date will not be considered for contest winner calculation purposes.

Drop your Team T-shirt off at the Teams Tent between 7 a.m. and 8:45 a.m., if you want the shirt entered in the contest. Komen Austin reserves the right to remove any shirt that is deemed offensive, inappropriate and otherwise not congruent to the mission of our organization.

Judging will begin at 9 a.m.

Komen National guidelines for designing your t-shirt:

• No pink shirts, as pink shirts are reserved for Survivors.
• Using pink as part of your design is allowed.
• The Komen logo (AKA "running ribbon") or any part of the logo cannot be used.
• You can use a pink ribbon as long as it is not the Susan G. Komen for the Cure logo (AKA "running ribbon").
• The words "Race for the Cure" or "Susan G. Komen" cannot be used in the design.
